Dear Parents and Friends, Happy Second week of school!! What a great three days of Kindergarten we have had! We are all adjusting well to all of the new rules and routines of Kindergarten. We are pleased with all of our students efforts and accomplishments! This week, we will continue with our Welcome To School theme focusing on the importance of listening and following directions. Our themes change every two weeks. Be sure to send your child’s yellow folder back to school each day so you will receive our notices. Thank you! In Math, we will continue to focus on counting and free exploration with manipulatives. The children seem to really enjoy exploring and becoming familiar with the materials we will be using frequently. In Reading, we are focusing on upper and lower case letters as well as their sounds. This may be a difficult concept at first, but with continued exposure and practice, these concepts will become easier and easier. We are concentrating on name activities as well. Any extra practice or exposure at home would be of great benefit. Thank you for your support!! Thank you SO very much for sending in a snack each day with your child!! If your child does have a HOME lunch, be sure to send in two juice boxes or a juice box and a water, as they will have one drink at snack and then need another at lunch time. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are SO looking forward to a Wonderful year in Kindergarten!! Thank you all for all of your support! Have a Great week!
