Dear Parents and Friends,
Happy Monday, day after vacation! We hope everyone enjoyed their week and got some extra rest. Hopefully the sicknesses that have been going around our school are headed out. The week before vacation was tough for so many. Let’s look forward to Spring!!
We will begin a new two week theme, Safe and Sound. This week’s focus will be on community helpers. There are so many people in our neighborhoods that work together to help others and keep our community safe.
In Math, we will finish up our unit on 3D shapes. We have had such fun learning these concepts.
We have a new Shared story this week, Where Is Pit-Pat? This book focuses on the letter p. The stories are getting more difficult each week, so please keep practicing with your child at home. Thank you!
In Writing, we will be continuing our Unit on Informational writing. We are focusing on How-To Books that teach others how to do or make something. The students ideas for their books are getting more original. Please continue to practice at home, as this would be of great benefit.
A huge thank you to all of you who were able to donate treats to our Valentine’s party! A great time was had by all. We also had a terrific time last Friday with our Cross Grade Level activities in the morning and then sledding at Vermont Academy in the afternoon! What a memorable day for all!
Just a reminder there will NOT be any school next Monday, due to Teacher Inservice and Tuesday, which is Town Meeting Day.
Have a Great Week!
Amy and Ashley
