Dear Family and Friends,
What an incredible performance last Wednesday evening!! The kindergartners, as well as the rest of the grades, did an AMAZING job. Their singing and dancing was a treat to watch. A huge Kudos to Mrs. Daignault for all of her hard work and dedication to our students. We have another busy week ahead of us!
Again, please remember that this is the time of year where many notes will be going home regarding special events that may be happening in the upcoming weeks, so please be sure to check your child’s backpack each night. Thank you!
This week we will begin a new theme, Water Wonders. We will focus on creatures that inhabit the water, particularly fish. We will concentrate on how these creatures are similar to and different from people and other animals that we have studied previously. This is a fun unit to be learning about this time of year. We have lots of students interested in fishing and learning about water creatures.
Our new KinderRoots book will be, Big Bob’s Bad Day, which focuses on the letter Rr. We realize that there are many nighttime obligations this time of year, but PLEASE remember to read our KinderRoots story each night. This does make a huge difference when reading in class. Thank you in advance for your support!
Please remember that Tuesdays for Mrs. Rawling’s class and Thursday for Mrs. McCant’s class is Library day. Try to remember to send in your child’s books on these days.
Spring pictures were sent home a few weeks ago. Many of you have returned the pictures and/or money. If you have not sent in either, please do so sometime this week.
If anyone would like to donate some snacks to our classes, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance for helping us out with this.
Just a reminder that this Friday, May 11th, there will NOT be any Kindergarten. This is the day that next year’s incoming kindergartners will visit. All other grades WILL have school. We can’t believe how fast this year has gone.
Have a great Day!!
Amy and Ashley
