Dear Parents and Friends,
Happy Middle of the week!! We can’t believe that it is already Wednesday! Our Technology Workshop was a success on Monday. We learned some new techniques that we can use in our classrooms. A great big Thank you to all of you that were able attend conferences last week and yesterday. For those who were unable to make it, please contact us to schedule a more convenient time. It was great chatting with each of you. Your children are definitely working hard and learning lots of new skills in kindergarten!
Since it is a short week, we will be spending the next three days reviewing our previously learned letters, m,a,s,d,t,i,n,p,g, and o. Please continue to practice the name and sound of each of these letters at home. For homework this week, please continue to read previous books or even choose a book to read to your child and have them pick out certain letters they know and have them tell you the sound that each one of them makes. Homework should be quick and fun. This is not a stressful time for you or your child. If you are struggling with the reading homework, please let us know so that we can fix this. Thanks!
In Math we will continue working on counting, one to one correspondence and identifying and writing numbers. These skills are still a bit tricky, but with continued practice, we are positive they will become easier and easier.
What an AMAZING playground Central Elementary School has now!! A HUGE KUDOS to all of those who were able to volunteer and help get our playground ready for the kids to play on. We appreciate all your hard work and time !!
Have a Great Week!
Amy and Ashley
